Christened on 21 Dec 1806 at Cold Weston, Shropshire. Elected to First Board of Wardmasters. The South African Mutual Association bought his extensive Main Street Property on which to build Mutual Arcade.
Confusion over date of birth. William Charles Titterton's book says
November, gravestone (plot 116) says October. Born at 10 o'clock on 26November
1806. On same gravestone is his son George Isaiah. Reads:
"Sacred to the memory of Isaiah Titterton b. Oct 26 1806, died April25
1864. Also of George Isaiah, son of the above. Born Oct 8 1851 diedApril 12
1857. Thy will be done.

A street (Titterton Lane) running up the side of The Arcade, from Main Street to Donkin Reserv e was named in his honour.
Went to Europe for seven years. Returned to SA in "Queen of the North"
