Not very robust. Lived in Queenstown. Became engaged to a Mr Pope. Annie Titterton intervened and the marriage was broken off. Fanny went to live at the home of Mr and Mrs Cyrus Martin (bookseller andstationer of Upper Adderley Street, Cape Town) who lived in Sir Lowry Road. She died of a broken heart on 17/6/1881 aged 23. She bequeathed 1,000 pounds to Annie Titterton She was buried in the Somerset Road Cemetry, Cape Town. All remains were exhumed in the 1980's and re-buried in Maitland Cemetry.
