The Revd and Mrs Eagles and 2 daughters met Mrs Gilchrist when at the sea-side in Wales. Mrs Gilchrist's mother was distantly connected with Sarah Geary who married William Payn in the 18th Cent. [Ancestors of Mrs Eagles].
At the start of the 1914-18 War, Florence G.W. Nowill came to live in Seaford, to be near their 3 daughters who were at school at "Seaford Ladies College".2
