Leslie was baptised in February 1806 by Rev Gould at the Free Martyrs' Church in St Mary's Wynd, Edinburgh. He died in the Parish of Old Luce, Wigtown. In 1881, living at 15 Catherine St, Edinburgh in the parish of St Cuthberts. In the house in 1881 was Mara W Fleming, John Fleming widowed, William Munro and a James Goven.
1891, retired living at 18 Montgomery St, Edinburgh with daughter Mara at home. Also other people at home aged 20-30.
