1881, apprentice to Robert Mather, shoemaker. Robert was born in Parwich but his wife Emma, was from Boscobel, Shropshire where Charles' uncle, James is from (according to a census).
Not on the 1891 or 1901 censuses. Robert married Emma Keeling in Parwich on 10 Feb 1852 and I think that Emma is Charles' aunt, sister of his father James. Emma's baptism is not on the IGI.
