"This tablet is consecrated to the memory of Ellen Oakdene, daughter of Philip Oakdene Esq (formerly of Waterhouses in the County of Stafford) and Mary his wife (one of the sisters of Dame Ellen Morewood, late Lady of the Manor). She died June 15 1836 aged 77 years."2
