On the 1871 census there isn't an Edwin Swann but there is a William Swann, about the right age, unmarried, in the parish of holy Trinity, living with brother James and sister Mary, none given as head of household. James is a brewer! There is a William Swann on the IGI, bap 5 Nov 1843 Burrough Green, Cambridgeshire - parents Jabez Swan and Eliza. 1891 census, Edwin ,wife and children (no Margaret) at 5 ??? Road, in the parish of St Andrew the Less, Cambridge.
