Lily was born at 3 Newton Street, Salford on 6 Dec 1888. Her mother registered the birth on 17 Jan 1889 (G J Forster was the registrar). Lily is registered as living with her mother at her Aunt`s address 6 Fitzgeorge Street in Harpurhey, Manchester in the 1891 England census. Later, Lily (different spelling) was registered as the niece of Frederick and Elizabeth Allcock living at 13 Quarry Street, Salford Manchester in the 1901 England. Lily & John married in March 1909 at St Peter`s church, Ashton-Under-Lyne. Lily`s profession is listed as a furrier on the marriage certificate. Witnesses at the wedding were James Hall and Annie Warrington. The couple were living at the same address 44 Dale St at the time. The couple moved to Norfolk some time after the birth of Lily Clough.
