Thomas was the son the son of John Bradbury, a publican. In 1900 he lived at Bottom house near Leek. (source marriage cert). The obituary of his brother in law James Henry Brooks in 1943 shows he was still living at Bottom House at that time.

In 1881 Hannah lived with her parents at Spring Fields in Ipstones where her father had a small holding of 9 acres. In 1900 she lived at Shaw House at Bradnop. The 1843 obituary of her brother James Henry shows she was living at Bottomhouse at that time. Hannah married Thomas Bradbury at Ipstones in 1900. The ceremony was carried out by the Vicar, R. H. Goodacre. Her brother John Thomas and sister Ada acted as witnesses.
In 1901 she and her husband ran the Green Man pub at Bottomhouse.
